Highland Park 1970s
There whisky, like there island home, is shaped by a wild climate and stormy seas, and by the Vikings who settled there over 1,000 years ago, leaving their mark on their people and their culture. In Kirkwall, on the mainland, Highland Park has been distilled since 1798 on the same site as Magnus Eunsons original illicit still at High Park.
The 4000-year-old peat gives an astonishing intensity and complex floral aroma in their kilns that delivers the intensely balanced smoky sweetness found only in Highland Park.

Four Roses 1970s
Four Roses is a Kentucky straight bourbon whisky brand currently owned by the Kirin Brewery Company of Japan. Effective September 1, 2015, Brent Elliott is the master distiller of Four Roses. Four Roses distils ten separate bourbons using two mash recipes and five yeast strains. From combining these ten bourbons the Four Roses distillery creates the standard “yellow label” expression. Single Barrel is made with only one of those ten bourbons. The others are made with combinations of two or more of the ten.
