First state of the English printing with the 32-page advertisement catalogue bound in at the rear dated “June 1900”. Top edges gilt. The volume has soiled cloth, is bumped at the corners, worn at the spine ends with splits in the cloth, and is sun bleached on the spine with loss of intensity to the gilt stamped lettering. Both hinges are starting and there is a remnant of a removed plate on the front pastedown.
